wireless not working

My desktop internet is working, but last night, my laptop connection just died for some reason! It says that the wireless capability on this computer is turned off, but it ISN’T. I don’t know why this is happening! Any ideas?? Please help! (I have a Linksys cisco range plus router, if that helps.)
