WIRELESS PRINTER – Wired LAN PC Connect?

by natack . Updated 17 years ago

Got a Wireless printer that connected through my wireless laptop no problem. Now I’m trying to connect the same printer through my LAN-Wired PC into the wireless router.
It can read the network info of my router, the router has logged the printer as a “client” but the Canon software will not connect to the router to complete my software setup. It did ask me for the key and was entered correctly, it did find my network on the SSID list correctly.
Am I missing something really obvious here?
I can’t get past the “Set Printer IP address” screen. Like it won’t connect.
Last question, is it even possible to connect this printer directly to the router and use wirelessly with my wired-only pc? Another words, pc connects to router with ethernet, printer would connect to router wirelessly as intended.
