Wirless connection

I currently have Vonage installed with a HP350n computer with a motorola modem installed and a netgear WGT624 V2 wirless router. I am trying to get my laptop connected to a wireless network. I am not new at computers but i was wondering if anybody had any suggestions. I can use the router as a hub all day but i just can’t get a wireless connection. Anyone? I
