Won’t Find T20 Internal Tape drive

Help!

On customer’s NT server (standalone), 3 month-old internal T-20 Travan tape drive isn’t seen by NT BackUp program. Customer swears it has worked for 3 months till I touched box.

I aborted tape catalogue operation which appeared hung (20 minutes)

I rebooted server and now the standard backup program says “there is no tape device”

I downloaded most recent drivers from HP, but when I view services they do not appear to be running.

I am about to open box to verify connectivity, but as I could hear the tape move initially it is hard to believe that it would have come loose.

Honestly NT 4.0 is before my time. Is there the equivelant to device manager in NT? When I go to control panel/tape there is nothing there.
