Word printing problem

We have a problem in word where our documents that are more than two pages with a “page __ of __” prints “page 2 of 2, page 3 of 3, page 4 of 4” instead of “page 2 of 4, page 3 of 4, page 4 of 4, etc”. The only way we seem to be able to print the pages properly for the page numbering to work is to use reverse printing in our print options. Is there any way for us to not have to use the reverse print function and still have our pages number properly?
