Workstation back-ups via network

Can anyone suggest best options for doing workstation backups? I would like to minimize user intervention and would prefer a server related solution. My network has approximately 400 workstations with data ranging from 1G tp 15g. Yes, we have network drives and back them up daily, but wokrstations are being done using BackUp MyPC and aren’t as reliable. As users are wont to do it themselves I would prefer a solution that is as seamless as possible. Any ideas?
