XML to create a Tree component in ASP/VB

Hi,
I’ve been assigned to create a tree component in ASP using VBscript and an XML document that is formatted into a hierarchical structure. I am a complete novice at XML, can anyone provide a guide to a simple example that i can learn from efficiently and effectively?
