XP a plague?

Since upgrading or should I say downgrading to the XP OS I have been plagued by problems Driver failures security issues etc. Even the Manufactuer of my mother board an ASUS P4B doesnt support this OS entirely. WHy is MS putting out something that all we can do is send reports of bugs I guess it was easier than debugging it themselves. Stay away from XP for now it has many security issues that are untold as of yet.
