XP logging onto NT server as admin

I have mapped drives on an xp machine logging onto an NT 4.0 server through domain control as administrator. However each time I log off and log on to the xp machine it requires a password to reconnect– is there any way to save permanantly? The reason I have administrator logging in is because for this particular machine I get errors of a regular user stating that ‘too many people are logged in’. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
