XP Media Center corrupted by installing XP Pro HELP!!!!!

Computer with Windows XP Media Center crashed after receiving Windows Updates.

Client panicked and instead of restoring previous configuration from Command Pro, he did instal/repair Windows XP Professional.

At this point, computer will get to XP logo and keep rebooting with no option to go to user logon.

Does anyone know of a way to reverse this installation.
