XP Networking Issue

I take care of a Peer LAN at work. I have XP and 98 on most of the boxes. I can come in and use and share all the resources. Then when I get home and work I have a 98 box that has all the periphials hooked up to it ex. Printers. And I connect either wireless or hard wire and can not see it from the XP laptop. I have tried everything thru every troubleshooter and just cant get it to work. Any Advice??
