XP Pro on VM?

I found an XP Pro CD in my closet a few days ago and have been trying to install it on my virtual machine. When I try to Install it it gets hung up at copying files, certain files wont copy and I haven’t tried actually installing it because i would think it would because of the files that were not copied. Any idea how I could get this to install correctly? Im using oracle virtual machine.
