I can not figure this out, it makes no sense…….. My Windows XP Pro clients are slow to open a share on one of my 2003 servers but Vista Business clients are fast as normal. The problem seems to only affect XP Pro and the one 2003 server. I have another 2003 server that is an ISA firewall, DHCP Server, Symantec Corporate 10.2 server, and security cam server. I created a test share on it and they can open it fine. The 2003 server that has the problem is DNS, Active Directory, file server, and Acronis true image echo server………………… So I don’t think it is a physical network problem (4 16 port switches) and the clearing DNS cache, my network places, network drives doesn’t work. I don’t have any errors in event viewer. This one has me stumped and it is probably something simple!!!!!
