XP user can not access shared canon printer on another xp ws

I have a Canon printer installed on a XP Pro SP2 ws and it works fine, I was at one time able to set up a share to allow the person next to the machine to print via the share. Lately it will not allow her to install the printer saying access is denied. There is no GP in place and I added the 2nd user to have full access to the printer using the domain credentials.
