xp won’t boot

I installed norton antivirus, go back now my system won’t boot, I’ve tried system restore. last known good configuration,safe mode, uninstalling norton, booting from cd, still nothing boots it. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be and how to fix it. Thanks in advance.
