For those of you that check the news, San Francisco had a major power outage yesterday, and it took half of CNET down with it. (I don’t know full details–like if the outage outlasted our UPS systems, or if the colo center just dropped the ball–because I’m not on the West Coast engineering staff.)
Engineers were cleaning up the mess well into the evening yesterday. I expect there will still be some quirkiness today, as we discover places where interdependent systems didn’t quite sync up correctly. Rest assured, we’re doing our best to get the site back to normal.
We apologize for any inconvenience. If you find any persistent weirdness on TR, please post the specifics–including date and time (with time zone)–in this thread. We’ll look into as soon as we’re able (which, given the mountain of error logs, won’t necessarily be instantaneous).
