1st Place: Server Room Nightmare Challenge
We've put the winners at the top, but see them in their proper sets, which follow, with more detail and explanation on just what you're seeing -- and in some cases, not seeing.
TR member Luca claims the glory with this lovely scene. (Go to Image 46 to view his set.)

67% of outages attributed to physical layer problems
When I transferred myself to the worst location, I budgeted 200K and 3 months time to correct a major physical layer problem...ended up making money as we found 26 T1's the bank had been paying for that had simply been disconnected and never repurposed. 26K per month for almost 5 years. We made money on the project.
Not taking credit for the mess
these are not so bad
wiring/cabling night mares
It is very simple in nature to solve this...take pride and ownership of your server rooms, closets, networks and workmanship. So many problems can and could be prevented if the work is accomplished correctly. If you don't have the time to do something correctly then make the time. There is NO excuse for shoddy work and work ethic. I'm sorry if this came out a little strong and I stepped on some toes and this hurt some feelings but acquire a thicker skin and do the job right the first time and you won't have this problem.
