Motorola’s upcoming Moto G47 Power looks ready to trade a slimmer design for a battery that could keep users away from the charger for much longer.

Motorola has not officially announced the phone. Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore has shared purported specifications, renders and European pricing, while separate reports cite an EU energy-label listing.

For people who use their phones throughout the working day, the reported battery capacity could be useful. The questions are whether the phone delivers sufficient performance, dependable software support and good value at its final price.

Design and display: Familiar looks, bulkier build

Leaked renders suggest the Moto G47 Power will closely resemble the standard Moto G47, with a flat display, a centered punch-hole selfie camera and a rectangular rear camera module.

The phone is expected to measure 166 x 77 x 9 mm. That would make it thicker than the standard Moto G47, which measures around 7.9 mm, although the extra space accommodates a substantially larger battery. Its weight has not been confirmed.

The display reportedly measures 6.67 inches and uses an LCD panel with a 1,604 x 720-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate should make scrolling feel smoother, but the HD+ resolution is a notable compromise for a screen this size.

The leaked finishes appear to be turquoise green and dark gray, although their official names remain unknown.

Performance, cameras and software

The Moto G47 Power is tipped to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300, a 6nm chipset also found in the regular G47. The leaked base configuration pairs it with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

That setup should suit everyday activities such as messaging, browsing and video streaming, but demanding games and heavy multitasking may expose its limitations.

Photography appears unchanged from the standard model. The expected setup includes:

  • 108MP main camera: The primary camera for everyday photography.
  • 2MP macro camera: For close-up shots, though its usefulness remains to be tested.
  • 8MP selfie camera: For video calls and self-portraits.

Ambhore’s leak lists Android 16 as the launch operating system. A reproduced EPREL listing reports a five-year minimum availability period for security, corrective and functionality updates, measured from when the model stops being placed on the market. That does not establish how many major Android upgrades the phone will receive.

Motorola’s Android 17 rollout for selected Razr and Edge phones provides context on its current updates, but buyers should wait for a support policy specifically covering the G47 Power.

Battery and charging: The main reason to consider it

The reported battery capacity is the Moto G47 Power’s main draw, although real-world endurance remains untested. While Motorola lists a 5,200mAh battery for the standard G47, the Power version is tipped to offer approximately 7,000mAh typical capacity.

A reproduced EPREL listing published by XpertPick reports a rated battery capacity of 6,790mAh. The same listing reportedly records 78 hours and 19 minutes of endurance under standardized testing, although that figure should not be mistaken for continuous screen-on time.

Ambhore’s leak specifies 30W wired charging. The reproduced EPREL listing separately gives a required charger output of 33W, which does not by itself establish the phone’s maximum charging rate. Motorola has not confirmed the final charging specification.

The larger battery could make this phone appealing to commuters, travelers and people who spend long hours away from power outlets. However, real-world battery life will depend on network conditions, screen brightness, applications and usage habits.

Mobility must-reads

Durability and expected price

The Moto G47 Power is expected to carry an IP64 rating, offering protection against dust and water splashes. It is not waterproof, so users should not submerge it.

Ambhore puts European pricing at approximately €270 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. Separately, Gizmochina reported an earlier Italian retailer listing at approximately €350. Neither figure establishes Motorola’s official launch price.

Motorola has not confirmed the launch date, availability or whether the phone will reach markets outside Europe.

What buyers should check before choosing it

The Moto G47 Power’s reported battery capacity could appeal to commuters, travelers and workers who spend long periods away from power outlets. Independent testing will need to establish whether that translates into dependable all-day use with navigation, calls, messaging and work applications.

The leaked 4GB RAM configuration deserves attention alongside the battery. Buyers who frequently switch between applications should look for testing of app reloads and responsiveness. A larger battery offers limited practical value if the phone struggles with the tasks it needs to handle.

The reported HD+ display and 108MP camera also require context. A 120Hz refresh rate could make scrolling smoother, but it does not improve resolution. Likewise, the camera’s megapixel count cannot establish how reliably it captures documents, moving subjects or low-light scenes.

For businesses considering the phone, the confirmed security-support period, update frequency and compatibility with their device-management tools should inform the buying decision. Buyers comparing ownership costs can also consider how longer support commitments affect value, as outlined in this Galaxy S26 Ultra buying guide. Local carrier support, warranty coverage and repair options also matter, particularly if the device becomes available through importers before an official local release.

The next useful milestone is Motorola’s announcement of the final price, specifications and support policy. Buyers whose current phones still meet their needs should wait for those details and independent battery and charging tests before deciding whether the G47 Power offers a worthwhile upgrade.
