3com combo card install in laptop

have a 3com 10/100 56k combo card that
will not install correctly.. model #3ccfem556b. I have tried to install several
times with no luck. windows98se always complains that the driver does not match
the hardware. support tells me that this
is o.k.??? It seems this card originally
shipped with only 16bit drivers and no
plug n play. downloaded the plug n play
drivers but still no luck. I have
installed a different lan card with success
but they really need this combo card. Just
bought this card at ubid.com. Came with no
drivers. Any ideas.
