3COM security bug

by dtech . Updated 25 years, 9 months ago

Hi folks,

I need the expertise of a few of you security experts out there.

We discovered a HUGE security bug in the firmware of a 3COM product that puts virtually every owner and user of this product at GRAVE RISK. 3Com has confirmed the firmware defect, but to date has NOT made any apparent attempt to educate the public to the DANGERS of this defect. They have indicated they are ?hard at work? preparing a fix, but meanwhile virtually all owners of this product are ?Sitting Ducks? to ANY hacker with the most rudimentary of skills.

My question is:
If 3Com won?t educate the public, how would we go about doing so?

Thanks
D-Tech Computer
