98 boots up to C: prompt occasionally

I am running windows98 and the computer is being used 5 days a week. About once a week when I turn on the computer it will boot up to the C prompt and windows doesnt load. I have to restart, go into safe mode and restart again for windows to come up. Any suggestions or input?
