A laptop for ADSL or office network

I am using NT 4.0 and am setting up a laptop for remote use with ADSL but it will also be needed for use in the office witch an ADSL connection is not present. I thought that setting up separate hardware profiles would work but it doesn’t go to the extent of changers I need for the switch from ADSL to Current network. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
