Anticmos Virus-Best Method of Removal

My client has an HP Pavilion infected with the Anticmos Virus–He has McAfee AV software. Does this program remove it satisfactorily? Or is AVP or Norton better to use? AVP claimes to do it best! Does anyone have personal experience with this particular virus? Fortunately, it did not wipe out any of his CMOS. Thanks for your input. I will let you know how this comes out.
