AUTO NUM LOCK KEY ON STARTUP

Hello,
I was wondering how to turn on the num lock key so it automatically starts up when I boot the computer. It’s a very simple task on IBM computers, but the work computer is a Compaq. You can do it through IBM when you hit F10 for setup,but there is no choice for F10 setup on Compaq’s… Please Help!!!
