We are using McAfee Virus scanning software. The “Virus Shield” starts automatically with the PC via a registry entry. We are also using Novell’s NAL (Network Application Launcher) product to deploy various software updates to the 1000+ pcs in ourenvironment. Only problem is that some software requires that Vshield be disabled prior to the install. Of this software, Novell’s latest client release (V3.3) is one of these and Novell’s web site does not have a solution to this problem, aside from going to every PC to do the install and manually disabling Vshield. So I would like to know if there is an exe or VB script that can be used to automatically end vshield that we could include in our NAL object prior to the software install process that Novell or McAfee is not sharing with the rest of us?
