backdoor subseven virus

In between uninstalling McAfee and loading Norton 2002 the virus surfaced. Norton quarantined 33 virused files that it could’nt repair. My problem now is i cannot open any application, i get a box that says ndvv.exe cannot be found and that it is needed to run applications. I suspect they changed the file name. What can i do to remedy this problem? Its odd but i still can connect to the internet via a modem. I can’t even run my HP recovery disk.
