Battery Bridge?

I was having some problems with my laptop. One part of one of the suggestions was to disconnect the “batter bridge” this is a Gateway 9100 solo. What the heck is a battery bridge? I’ve looked at documentation that came with the laptop and see nosuch thing. At this point the only question I’m asking here is, “What is a battery bridge (and where do I find it)?” Thanks
