Bios does not register orginal HD

I have a Tyan Tsunami ATX – S1846 Motherboard. I have flashed the bios with the most current bios and now it won?t recognize the original 40 gig hard drive that was in the PC.

It will recognize other hard drives just fine. To rule out that the original drive is bad; I booted to it in another know good PC and boots just fine.

Help!
