Blue screen

I tried to start my computer this morning but I couldn’t get to windows 2000. I just got the blue screen saying that my data is downloading and the data will be lost forever. Last time it said this I had to replace my whole cpu. Why does this happenand is there something that I can do to get out of the blue sceen- without having to replace my computer?
