Blue Screen of Death

We have Compaq Deskpro computers at our organization. Lately, we are seeing a lot of “blue screens of Death” i.e. “Starting physical memory dump….”

What is the cause of this and how can it be prevented? Does re-imaging solve this problem? Is it a Compaq diagnostics for NT issue? Help
