Blue Screen of death, VXD.VMM

by shanghai sam . Updated 24 years, 2 months ago

First, Pentium 2, 350 mhz, 262mg ram, S3 video w/monster 3d ( for the kids, me included ),95osr2 updated, IE5.5. crashes with vxd.vmm calls from acouple of drivers, only when I am surfing the net. My Vmm32 file has been checked, and seems to be right, ( but what is right with MS ). I always loose my mouse driver, Lmouse.vxd, and it seems that the screen starts to act up before the ” ominous blue “. It does seem to be temp realated, because it is now becoming summer here in the Midwest. CPU temp has never really gone above 104F, and stays around 89F, I even put a fan with open cabinet on the CPU, but still crashed. Is there any way to define CPU, or other problems. I have changed Ram, and still the same. It’s been this way since I got the box, but was told that the fault was a Modem driver, ( where did that tech come from ). Any help appreciated. Thanks
