Blue screen Win98se

MS6178 mother board
At the verifying DMI pool data point during start up it blue screens with the message A fatal exception 0D has occurred at 0560:00000218.

Any idea what’s causing this? have just Fdisked, formated and reinstalledwindows 98 after a virus infection w32.elkern.4926 and w32.klez.h@mm.
