Boot problem on new PC

by zeus who frags . Updated 25 years, 10 months ago

I bought an Athlon750 on an Abit Ka7 Motherboard, 3D Prophet II Ge-Force 2 32Mo, 128Mo SD-RAM PC133 and a giant tower 300W.

Sometimes, when I start my computer (power on, reboot or reset button), it hangs like if I was keeping the reset button pushed. The only activity is the power that semms OK (hard disks light on, coolers are on), everything seems OK but it keeps in this position. I don’t see the first screen of the graphic card just before the Ami Bios.
If I shut down everything, I wait2 or 3 minutes, usually (but not always), it boots correctly then.
I have the latest bios, etc… I have MANY coolers, the tower is fresh.
Seems to be a connectivity problem but I tried to unplug everything and rebuild the PC : the same 🙁
Moreover, when the first screen of the graphic card appears correctly, then the PC works perfectly, no bugs, until I reboot it.
I don’t see where the problem is (the tower? The MB? The Ge-Force? The processor? …)
Thanks.
