Boot System Error

Hi All !!
When I boot my system (Windows 98) I get “Error in first line of Config Systems. I was advised to go to msconfig, un-check the ESAUDIO click apply. This works, however ESAUDIO retypes itself each time I shut down.
Is there any way thatI can permantely repair this star-up problem?
