I put together an old Pentium 150 system. I can boot it up and get into the bios settings but can’t get any further.
The energy star logo and the “Press del to enter setup” message will disappear and the system will try to start but then it all just freezes and hangs.
I have double checked jumpers and tried two different settings for cpu and fsb voltage. That is all fine. I can’t boot up onto a boot disk. The cmos is set to boot from a: then c:. I have put in a hdd with 98se on it but it wont boot onto that either.
I replaced power supply thinking that was the prob but nothing changed. I have tried a floppy working fine on another system. Cables are correctly set. I think it is a bootstrap or bios prob. I loaded bios defaults and same result.
Any ideas?
