Briefcase

I have 4 computers with Outlook 2000 sharing an address book. We don’t have Exchange. Based on an article I recently received, I have set up a briefcase on each of the users desktops to synchronize with one address book on our file server. When updating the briefcase, I have an option to update either the server copy or the client copy OR there is a circular looking arrow when both need to be updated, but it doesn’t do anything (there is no option to update). Does anybody have any experience with this and know a good work-around?
