Building A System

I am planning on building a 500mhz system using (2)hard drives,cd rom and sound.Can anyone provide info on the best type of mother board and casing to use to start building.ATX
How do I add a casing fan and hook up the power or should I use a PCI fan card.
Will be using a 56k modem give best choices.
Plan on using a PCI graphics card
