Burning CD’s

by qhcomputingny . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

Hello,
I have tried many times to burn a CD. For some reason one of the first times I burned mp3’s (all legal mp3’s of course) I burned a few tracks and they were able to play both on my computer and in my stereo CD player at home. I am using theAdaptec Easy CD creator to do this. I then ( a few weeks later) burned some more mp3’s took the CD out and tried to play it on my home stereo, and it would not work. Why is this? Is there a setting I would have clicked on the first time and did not click the second time around? Also my friend also uses the same program to burn CD’s and his CD’s that he burns are able to be played on a home stereo, a car CD player and his computer. What are the settings that need to be set while burning a CD to enable it to work on all of those systems? I can’t seem to get it. I am using a CD-RW CD (the same as last time), but the manufacturer is different. The first time I used Memorex CD’s and this time I used a FujiFilm CD. I don’t think that would make a difference because the paramaters on the CD’s are the same. I just thought I’d add all the information I could. I know someone out there has to have good experience with burning CD’s and I just wanted to hear if there are any tips or methods I can use to go about doing this.
Thanks……
