Can I upgrade PII 350 to higher CPU?

Currently a slot 1 350 w/motherboard se44obx-2, 100 FSB. I’d like to go higher MHz by just replacing cpu chip. I was told no coppermine would work. Anyway to do this? I was looking at Evergreen Performa 600 but would like to stay w/Pentium.
