Can Internet Explorer be set to show full pages again?

I must have changed some setting in my Windows XP or IE v8. Suddenly, it seems like I am always needing to scroll left or right to see whole pages on websites. Even on this site. I am sure that I didn’t need to do that in the past. My pc is a tablet using a larger monitor as the only display as the tablet screen is turned off during use. Is there a simple adjustment box that I must have checked that messed this up? My big monitor displays Outlook and other programs nicely (and as they always have, I think), so I don’t want to mess that up with any changes while trying to fix this.
