Cannot Install WinNT on Adaptec-19160 wi

by mg . Updated 25 years, 10 months ago

System:
PIII-700Mhz on a ASUS P3V133
1 IBM-HDD: DDYS-T36950
ADAPTEC 19160 Contrl.

i try to install NT4 and can’t boot from the SCSI-HDD.

HDD-Layout
1st part. (2GB)
PRIM-DOS PART 2GB:
C: FAT16: Boot
2nd part.
EXT-DOS Part. (32GB)
D: FAT32: W95 Data
E: NTFS: for NT

I boot the NT-CD-ROM and while showing the blue bootscreen, i press F6 to add the SCSI-driver from the “adaptec Ultra160 family manager set” disk. works.
after this, i tell NT-setup where to put winnt to (E:). works again.
nt-setup installs the mini-nt correctly (also bootsector and loader)

after this i reboot and nt is booting from my SCSI-HDD BUT:

After displaying “NTDETECT 4.0….” i get the following Error:

TRAP 0000000E================= PAGE FAULT =========

The Boot.ini and Adaptec Driver named as NTBOOTDD.SYS is correctly installed.

greetz: FLEX !

ps: It’s NO Termination, cabling, or jumper error (W95 is fine). No Messages like that please !
