Cannot manage Font size of printjobs

Sometimes the printjobs from a shared laser printer contain very large fonts. This is not expected. For example, if our document contains Ariel pt. 8, the print job may come out incrementally larger or twice the size. We use Windows 95 and the printer and printer drivers are for an HP laserjet 4si. We have a peer-to-peer networking setup for the printer.
Any suggestions or ideas would be appreciated.
