Can’t map a drive to a remote pc

I can ping the remote pc but I can’t map a drive to it. I want to map it so that I can connect to its floppy drive and read and execute the information on the diskette that is inside that remote floppy drive. That pc is on a different subnet and on the same mask.
Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
