Can’t play video files

I have a NT4 machine that gets the same error whether playing a video in RealPlayer or Winmedia.

The error is “The Procedure Entry Point Register Service Process Could no be located in the dynamic link Library KERNEL32.dll”

I uninstalled realplayer and winmedia and then reinstalled them after rebooting….SAME ERROR

Any ideas?
