Cat 5 Wiring

I am running Cat 5 wiring in my new retail store, for both phones and fax…and I want to do up network jacks at the same time, but can’t find any information on how to properly set up the jacks…

I’m using 24 gauge/4 pair wire…is this sufficient?…where can I find information, outside of buying a costly networking tome?
