CD ROM

My computer doesn’t recognize a CD ROm (Internal) when is installed, but rcognizes it if I hold it outside.
I tried to installed other CD ROM, but it does not work, freezes the computer, and when I connect the cable to the CD ROM it stop receiving power.
Please, can someone advice on this?
