cd-rom and dvd-rom problem

Hi,

I’ve just installed a backpack cd writer and now my system won’t detect my cd-rom and dvd-rom. I have tried uninstalling and the reinstalling but that didn’t help. I’m running windows 2000 server, does anyone have any suggestions??
