CD ROM autoeject

I have a user that is running Windows 2000 on a Digital 5000 machine. Her CD ROM drawer opens and closes mysteriously on a regular basis. I wanted to try to disable auto detect for the CD ROM but can’t find a setting for it under 2000. It seems to be fairly random. We’re talking 5-10 times a day that it opens and closes. Any ideas?
