Cd-Rom Toubleshooting

Hi, my name is Kenneth or Ken if u like.
I have installed a CD-ROM hardware onto my computer, which is running on the latest edition of Win95.

It has been working fine until recently, it keeps giving me an error reading saying that the “Device is not ready…D drive is not accessible”.

I’ve checked the connections, reisntalled it with all the drivers and reran it with a cd but to no avail. Only a green flickering light appears for a while.

Could anyone help me solve this problem?
