cd rom trouble

I have a cd-rom that is not reading. I have tried flashing the bios and changing the bois. I have tried a different cd-rom (one that I know works). The response that I get is “device driver not found”. I have tried almost everything, even calling the manufacturer and they had no answers. I’m thinking it may be the motherboard or some other part beside the cd-rom, because I know the cd-rom works, just not on that computer.
